Welcome to our Seedheart Plants

Baidyabati, Hooghly

Locate where the plant naturally grows. Subsequently, supply water in accordance with that environment. For example, tropical region plants need way more water than the cactus that grows in drier areas.

Size of plants are also very important factor. Larger plants absorb more through their roots, consume more for respiration, and lose more through transpiration when there is more vegetation present..

Type of pot too determine the amount of water required. Terracotta and other porous materials lose water at a considerably higher rate than plastic pots, which do not allow any water to pass through the edges of the pot. Try to match the sort of pot you chose to your growing plants. Pick a pot size suited to the plant. Choose smaller pots for plants that like to dry out rapidly. Choose larger pots for plants that like evenly moist conditions.

Season impacts a lot on how frequently you should water your houseplants. In the winter, many houseplants grow much more slowly or become dormant, which significantly reduces their water needs.

Outdoor plants (flowers and vegetable plants)-

  • You should immediately soak the soil around plants’ roots after moving them to a new pot or patch of ground. Water should be available every other day during the first week. After the first week, keep a close eye on the plant to make sure the the soil doesn’t dry out.
  • Early in the morning is the best time to water outside flowers and vegetable garden since the soil is cool and water has the best chance of getting to the plants’ roots before it evaporates.
  • Give your outdoor garden the at least 1 inch of water per week, as a general rule of thumb (double that amount in the peak of summer).
  • Don’t just rely on rain. Although they may require more during hot, dry times, most garden plants, flowers, and shrubs thrive when they receive at least 1 inch of water per week
  • DON’T forget to give outside container plants a daily watering. The smaller the container, the more frequently you need to water the plant inside it.
  • DO NOT use a jet spray nozzle to water container plants.

Indoor plants-

If your plant is placed in an environment with lower light, you should reduce the amount of water it receives. When the soil surrounding your succulent and snake plant is wet, don’t water it. Never water the soil again until it is completely dry. Having saying that, be generous with your watering. Every day or every other day, sprinkle your orchid. Run warm water through your plant once a week, then leave it to soak for a few hours. Here are some examples of 20 common plants and when to water them-
