Our legacy
The story began back in the 20th century. Shyamacharan Nursery was established in the name of the late Mr. Shyama Charan Ghara by his son the late Mr. Amulya Charan Ghara, a visionary figure from Baidyabati who was awarded some land by the landlord at the time for his integrity. He had a vision of utilizing the plants he had personally grafted to make his community greener.
After his demise, his daughter, the late Mrs. Taramoni Jana, operated this farm for some years. But she was unable to carry this on for long due to some unfortunate circumstances.
However, the late Mrs. Taramoni Jana’s third son, Mr. Siddhartha Jana, did not want this legacy to end abruptly. Hence, in 1985, he rebuilt the business with only the barest of resources. The dream that Mr. Amulya Charan and Mrs. Taramoni had left unfinished has now been rebuilt after 37 years of his relentless work and today, with the support of advanced technologies, his only daughter, Mrs. Reeti Jana, wishes to expand this business even further. In order to continue her father’s legacy of making the planet more beautiful and green for everyone, she founded the brand “Seedheart” in his honour.
We Offer
Although she inherited Shyamacharan Nursery, Reeti has not taken it for granted. She is a professional horticulturist, landscape designer and entrepreneur. She grew up among the greens of the nursery. This inculcated a sense of growth and resilience in her.
Like the Jade Plant she sells, Reeti inherited something meant to last for generations. But instead of simply preserving the legacy, she chose to nurture, shape and grow it into something distinctly contemporary.
